Getting this error message when doing a update. any help or Direction would be appreciated

W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/adlp_dmc_ver2_14.bin for module i915

Hello and welcome on board @mandrews65!

Isn’t a problem. It’s simply a warning message because the .bin file isn’t installed in the /lib/firmware/i915 folder and probably isn’t provided with firmware collection included on Kaisen.

Hello @mandrews65, I hope you are well.

I fixed warnings messages of firmwares binaries missing for the i915 module missing in the /lib/firmware directory.

You can updating the system, the update will install few linux-firmware* packages. These packages will add binaries for i915.
